Most Raja Ampat sites are accessible to PADI Open Water or SSI Open Water certified divers with at least twenty logged dives. Sites with strong currents (Blue Magic, Cape Kri, Manta Ridge during spring tides) are managed by the dive guides who match dive plans to certification level; PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent is recommended for the headline current sites. We accept divers from Open Water upward but allocate dive guides to certification mix on board.
Yes. Roughly thirty percent of charter guests are non-divers. The vessel runs a parallel program of snorkel drops at Mansuar reef tops, kayak and paddleboard launches around Wayag and Misool karst, beach explorations, jellyfish lake snorkel at Karawapop, and Wayag karst hiking with summit views. Children eight and above can join a PADI Bubblemaker introduction.
Sorong (SOQ) is served by daily flights from Jakarta (CGK) and Denpasar (DPS) on Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, Batik Air, and Lion Air, typically routing through Makassar (UPG) or Manado (MDC). Total flight time is six to eight hours including the connection. Economy fares run USD 350 to USD 580 round trip depending on advance booking. We coordinate ground transfers from Sorong airport to the harbour pier as part of the charter package.
The Raja Ampat Marine Park charges a per-pax conservation fee. The 2026 rate is IDR 1,000,000 per international guest (approximately USD 65) plus IDR 500,000 (approximately USD 33) for the durable conservation tag. The combined cost is roughly USD 100 per international guest. Fees are payable on arrival at Sorong harbour in cash (USD or IDR) or via wire credit. The conservation tag is reusable within 12 months.

The northern region (Dampier, Mansuar, Wayag) is best between May and September during the southeast monsoon. Yes. The chef plans menus around your party's collective dietary spreadsheet, collected at booking. Vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, halal, kosher, and most allergy-driven restrictions are routinely accommodated. Religious dietary restrictions require advance notice of forty-five days for provisioning logistics from Sorong.
Maximum guest counts depend on the specific vessel: entry phinisi sleep eight to twelve, luxury phinisi sleep twelve to sixteen, motor super-yachts sleep ten to fourteen depending on configuration. For groups exceeding sixteen guests we coordinate a two-vessel charter running parallel itineraries.
Charter contracts require a thirty percent reservation deposit at booking signature, with the balance due sixty days before departure. Cancellations between booking and 120 days before departure return the deposit minus a USD 1,500 administrative fee. Cancellations inside sixty days forfeit the full charter rate. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance.
Yes, with advance coordination. Rebreather divers should provide unit make and model, last service date, manufacturer service certificate, sorb specification, and personal redundancy gear list at booking confirmation. We coordinate spare scrubber, oxygen, and diluent supply through Sorong logistics with sixty days lead time.
All charters carry a basic medical kit, oxygen for dive accidents, defibrillator on the luxury and motor tiers, and at least one crew member with advanced first aid certification. For dive accidents requiring recompression, the closest functional chamber is in Manado (north Sulawesi) or Bali; medical evacuation by Susi Air or commercial flight is coordinated by the captain.
